Dim Sum Station at 366 River Street

I passed Dim Sum Station many times on my way to work and I noticed it had finally opened. I was in the area on business and stopped for lunch. The food and the service were really nice.

The restaurant has the look of a fast-food restaurant and is served cafeteria style. You order your food at the counter, and you pick it up when the order is ready. All the items are pictured on the menu, so you have an idea of what you are ordering.

I just picked up a couple of dishes of Dim Sum for a light lunch. I started with the Pork Soup Dumplings ($6.95). They were really good and properly steamed so they were soft and moist to bite into and had a nicely spiced pork mixture. The only problem was that they were not very soupy. Usually, they burst in your mouth when you bite into them. These tasted more like dumplings.

The Soup Dumplings were good but not very juicy

The Vegetable Spring Rolls ($4.95) were perfectly fried to a crisp perfection. You got three of them and they crunched when you bit into them. They were filled with crunchy fresh vegetables. With a little Duck Sauce to accent them, they are delicious.

The Spring Rolls are lightly fried to perfection

To finish the meal off, I had the Baked Roast Pork Buns ($4.95). Three nice sized pillowy buns that had a sweet taste to the dough and filled with chopped roast pork and a tangy sauce that it was mixed with it. They were steamed to perfection and were light and fluffy.

The Roast Pork Buns are light and sweet

The service was very friendly, and the food came very quickly. What is nice about Dim Sum Station is that everything is under $10.00, and you can adjust what you want to order and mix and match items for either a small snack or a larger meal.

There are a lot more wonderful things on the menu I plan to order in the future.
