My review on TripAdvisor:

There are times that you pass a restaurant many times and you never go in. This was the case of Amore Pizza Cafe at 370 West 58th Street. A friend of mine worked at the Hudson Hotel for years and passed the restaurant that is around the corner many times.

As I started to my walk around the Midtown West/Hell’s Kitchen/Clinton neighborhood for my blog “”, stopped in for a quick snack. I had a slice of cheese pizza ($2.75) and it was excellent. The pizza sauce is nicely spiced with a rich tomatoey taste. It really makes the pizza. The slice was the right combination of cheese and sauce and had a gooey complexity.

The cheese slices are excellent here

When I had to return to neighborhood for my walk, I stopped in for lunch and I wanted something different. There were no Calzones or Meatball Pizza Rolls so I ordered the Pepperoni Roll ($5.95) and it was delicious. The roll was just the right size and was loaded with piles of pepperoni tucked inside. Each bite you could taste the spicy pepperoni and it was accompanied by a side of their delicious red sauce. That gave it even more flavor.

The Pepperoni Roll with sauce makes a great meal

After I finished my walk around the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood, I could not walk much more and ended up back at the restaurant for dinner. After walking about 120 blocks I needed carbs and ordered the Linguini with Meat Sauce ($9.95). It was served with a side of bread that had been warmed up and was perfect to sop up the sauce. It was the best!

The meat sauce was incredible

The restaurant gave me about a half a pound of freshly Linguini with a rich meat sauce made of beef and sausage that had a nice spicy taste from the combination of the meats and the tomato sauce. They loaded the sauce on top so you could dip the extra bread in and enjoy it too. What really amazed me was the portion size.

The same dish two blocks down at an Italian restaurant is $26.00 and here it was $9.95 with the side of bread. I enjoyed every bite. It really made a filling dinner.

The restaurant menu

The service is very friendly and welcoming. It is also nice to sit in the restaurant by the windows and watch the world go by. The foot traffic is starting to come back and it is nice to see the neighborhood come back to life.

Don’t miss Amore Pizza Cafe
