I came across Little Miss Muffin n Her Stuffin when I was searching for another restaurant down the street called Lowerline (See my review on TripAdvisor) and it had not opened for the evening and I was starved. I stopped in for a Jamaican Beef Patty to tide me over until dinner and it was one of the best patties I had ever had.

Instead of the pastry dough being hard, chewy and flaky like of the restaurants in the City carry that are premade, the dough on these are moist, well baked and flavorful. Since they are baked on premise, they are always nice and warm and constantly being replenished. The store is always busy when I have visited so there is a turnover in the product in the cases.

My first trip to Miss Muffins I had the Honey Roasted Chicken Patty ($2.75) and the Curry Chicken Patty and both were excellent. The Honey Roasted Chicken was a well broiled chicken breast glazed in honey and then chopped up fine and folded into the crust. The Curry Chicken Patty ($2.50) had a nice mixture of chopped chicken with curry accenting the chicken without it being overpowering.

On my second trip to the store, I tried the Curry Chicken Patty again which was just as good as the first time and I also tried the Barbecue Chicken Patty ($2.50). This was also delicious. The patty was filled with chopped chicken and mixed with a tangy barbecue sauce and baked to perfection.

They also have a nice assortment of cookies ($1.25) and scones ($2.50) for dessert. All the cookies had just come out of the oven and they were still hot and chewy. I had a red velvet cookie with white and dark chocolate bits and a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie. I could not tell if they made this from scratch or if they were from a mix but either way they were sweet, buttery and full of large chocolate pieces when biting into them.

Little Miss Muffin's Patties

The assorted patties at Little Miss Muffin ‘n’ Her Stuffin are excellent

The service is really nice and the family that runs Little Miss Muffins ‘n’ her Stuffin very quick when serving people and since it is all takeout, the line moves pretty quickly. Because of COVID, only three people are allowed in the store at one time.

Don’t miss this little neighborhood treasure a few blocks from the Brooklyn Botanical Garden and the Brooklyn Museum. The store is located in the Prospect Park neighborhood in Brooklyn.
