My review on TripAdvisor:

Sometimes you are looking for the perfect little ‘hole in the wall’ restaurant and it just jumps out at you. This is how I found out about West Side Cafe & Pizza. I was looking for a snack and came a across a restaurant that offered well-priced pizza slices. It also offers a whole lot more.

I went into West Side Cafe & Pizza for a slice of pizza. The place around the corner from it had the slices at $3.25 for a slice of cheese and when I walked in here, the slice was $2.50, more on the level of a regular slice.

The Pizza here is excellent

Even though the slice was warmed over, the sauce was flavorful and the cheese was gooey, a good sign for a warmed over slice and it still had a stringy consistency to it. I took it into Verdi Park down the road and a lot of people saw me enjoying it. I thought it was very good.

As I waited for my slice to heat, someone ordered a bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel and I watched the guy cook it. I was ready to change the order. It was what I wanted to get next.

The Bacon, Egg and Cheese sandwich is excellent

Two days later, as I was finishing the Avenues on the West Side for my project, “MywalkinManhattan.com”, I stopped back for a quick lunch/snack at the restaurant. I ordered the Sausage, Egg and Cheese on an Everything Bagel ($5.43) and it just hit the spot on a cool day. The flavors of the spicy sausage and the well cooked fried eggs combined nicely along with the onions and poppy seeds on the bagel to add the extra flavor.

What I like best about West Side Cafe & Pizza is that almost all of the menu items are under $10.00 and the restaurant is the go-to place of all the doorman, police and utility workers in the area. I figure that they know there stuff and know a good place when they see one.

Open: All Week from 7:30am-9:30am
